A bomb on the kindergarten for Roma children
An unknown hand detonated a bomb in the premises of the Roma community used as classrooms.
There were no victims, but the damage exceeded the economic possibilities of the Roma community and the gesture created a climate of fear in these brothers who until yesterday felt accepted.
Roma have lived for decades in a suburb of Zagreb and collaborate with institutions for the integration of their children. Most of the Roma children have finished compulsory school and obtained a diploma.
their placement in the state school is preceded by language and behavioral training courses. Within the community, seminars are organized on the theme of non-violence, integration and respect for people who are different in terms of race, religion and skin color.
To this act of violence the Rehobot Foundation, which has been collaborating with the Roma community for decades with positive results, has contributed to the repair costs and the installation of a video surveillance system for the psychological safety of the whole community.
