School for welders in prison

The juvenile prison of Turopolje is above all re-educational. The guests of this reality are all young people with difficult and painful life stories.

During the period of detention they have the possibility of following two paths:
educational: The young person is motivated to desire a better and healthier future from a social, ethical and moral point of view. The educators and volunteers are committed to creating a climate of trust and mutual respect with them in their daily work and sports activities
training: The other important path is that of professional training. Everyone has the opportunity to complete the compulsory school cycle and choose one of the three professional courses that they can follow inside the prison: cook, waiter and welder. Once the sentence has been served, the diploma will allow them to fully enter the world of work.

The welding workshop is being prepared

The Foundation appeals to the generosity of donors to purchase the equipment and get the school going. We count, as always, on your cooperation. The estimate for the purchase of the equipment that the prison has sent us is approximately €5,000.00.

Vocational training plays a decisive role in removing these young people from a destiny of delinquency and crime. We offer them this possibility.
